Why do I need a car service?

 

A car is made up of moving parts that become weak and malfunction as time goes on. Taking your car to the mechanic for regular inspection is known as car service. If you want to avoid your car breaking down then you need to service your car regularly.

How often should I service my car?

 

Information regarding the recommended time for service can be found in the respective handbook of manufacturers. But it is recommended to have your service as follows:
• Interim service - After 6 months or 6,000 miles
• Full service - After 12 months or 12,000 miles
• Major service - After 24 months or 24,000 miles

What is Full car service

 

We advise you to get a full car service every 12 months or 12,000 miles that your car has driven.

What is included in Full Service?

 

In addition to everything done during the interim service, a full service include the following additional checks
• Fuel filter replacement (for diesel cars)
• Air cleaner replacement
• Alternator hose and vacuum hose inspection
• Parking brake shoe inspection
• Remove and rotate road wheels

How long does a car service take?

 

Our service takes a few hours to complete, but time variations may depend on the type of service you have booke

Can I book a car service and MOT at the same time?

Is car service the same as MOT?

 

No – car service is not the same as MOT. MOT is a mandatory annual inspection of your vehicle to make sure it is roadworthy. Service on the other hand is not mandatory but is important as it helps detect wear and tear of the car as well as keep your car in the best performing condition.

What is Interim Car Service?

 

As recommended, you need an interim service every 6 months or 6,000 of travel.

What is included in Interim service?

 

A typical interim service will include
- oil change
- oil filter replacement
- drive belt inspection.
Take note all our services include inspection of lights, brakes, steering, suspension and inspection of all fluid levels

What is a Major service?

 

After 24 months or 24,000 miles, having a major car service would be the best recommendation.

What is included in Major service?

 

A full car service includes but is not limited to
• Brake fluid replacement
• Odour and allergy filter replacement
• Spark plug replacement
• Automatic transmission oil level inspection
• Car battery inspection
In addition to the above, a full car service includes everything in the full service.

Can I leave my car in the car park the day before my service date?

 

At the moment, we do not provide a parking place thus it is best you bring your car in on the day you booked.
